40,000 square foot film operation in Dupo, IL recently acquired by RTP Company.
In late January of this year, RTP Company’s Sheet & Film Division subsidiary Wiman Corporation purchased the Dupo, IL, extrusion operation of Omnova Solutions. RTP Company will retain all current personnel and equipment at the 40,000 sq. ft. (3,715 m2) facility outside St. Louis, MO, and will continue to manufacture various products for Omnova.
“The acquisition of this site expands our capabilities, capacity and geographic presence, allowing us to better meet the needs of our customers,” said Peter Ploumidis, President of RTP Company’s Sheet and Film Division and Wiman. “In particular, the Dupo operation will expand our film product lines to be available down to one mil thick, which allows us to offer our wide variety of products in any gauge.”
RTP Company acquired Wiman, based in Sauk Rapids, Minn., in September 2006 to augment its growing Sheet & Film Division. Wiman manufactures specialty PVC, olefin, and urethane film and rollstock materials for medical and industrial markets.
