Laser-Markable Plastics for Electronics Applications

Laser marking uses a laser beam to create a permanent image by charring a part’s surface. The resulting mark becomes integral to the part, making it more durable and less affected by solvents than either pad printing or hot stamping.

Laser images can be applied to curved or 3-dimensional geometries. With little or no particulation, the process is compatible with cleanrooms.

Standard laser marks can be produced in white, black, and grey. Using special additive technologies, marks can also be red, yellow, orange, blue, green, and violet.
