Electrical Maintenance

RTP Company is seeking an individual to join our Electrical Maintenance team. General duties for this position will include but are not limited to: repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of plastic production machinery and facility electrical equipment.

The candidate must exhibit excellent work characteristics including: attendance, safety, conduct, and the ability to work well with others. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions within the scope of the position.

Candidates with some experience in the electrical field with a two-year technical degree in electrical construction, electronics, or a related field are preferred.

Color Technology Engineer

We are currently looking for a Color/Masterbatch Technology Engineer to work in our Winona, MN manufacturing facility.

Job duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support for our colored products.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve coloring and masterbatch technologies.
  • Strive to innovate the coloring technology of plastics by developing creative solutions applicable in the marketplace.
  • Assist production scale up of color and masterbatch products.
  • Develop plastic processing and property enhancing additives.
  • Support color transfers to other RTP facilities in the world.

Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in Composites, Polymer, or Chemical Engineering required.
  • Technical knowledge of color and plastic additives is preferable.
  • Must possess knowledge of plastic processing technologies.
  • Understanding of the coloring methods is preferable.
  • Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Computer Programmer

RTP Company is currently looking for a Computer Programmer at its Winona, MN corporate headquarters. As a Computer Programmer, you'll focus on CRM development and system automation for our sales force. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of an enterprise-wide, database-driven software package
  • Programming using a proprietary development environment
  • SQL database design and development
  • Migrating data from legacy systems
  • Integration with an operating ERP system

A 2-year techncial degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field is required. 2+ years related technical experience programming with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server, is preferred, however; entry level candidates will be considered. Object oriented programming experience, preferably C#, is required. Knowledge of .Net, ASP, Citrix, and/or Crystal Reports is desired. The successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently seeking a Product Development Engineer at our Winona, MN facility. As a Product Development Engineer, you'll respond to customer requests for material assistance and formulation development of new thermoplastic compound technologies.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Field customer technical requests
  • Suggest materials for customer applications
  • Forumlate, manufacture, and test new thermoplastic formulations
  • Evaluate new polymers and additives

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in an Engineering field required; Chemical or Composite Materials Engineering emphasis preferred.

Human Resources Manager - Recruitment & Administration

RTP Company is a specialty compounder with corporate headquarters located in Winona, MN. We operate eight production plants in the United States, Europe and Asia and have sales offices in major commerce centers around the world.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager—Recruitment & Administration at our Winona, MN facility. This position necessitates a strong attention to detail and understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to "think outside the box".

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the global recruiting function, including internal and external job postings and placements. Act as a liaison with RTP's Human Resources counterparts in Europe and Asia regarding international hires.
  • Support recruiting activities for all functional areas and all levels within the company, including non-exempt, exempt, and Commercial Sales positions.
  • Utilize recruitment methods such as retained and contingency agencies, executive researchers, referrals, and internet search.
  • Track applicant flow data and prepare EEO-1 and VETS-100 reports for several domestic facilities.
  • Partner with legal counsel to prepare Affirmative Action Plans. Provide training on annual goals and results.
  • Conduct new hire orientations, including assimilation training and benefits administration.
  • Assist with managing employee-relations activities on a daily basis.
  • Assist with Human Resources policy and project development.
  • Manage several Human Resources Department team members.
  • Provide assistance to expatriate employees regarding tax filings and employment needs.
  • Provide an extreme level of professionalism and confidentiality to internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of solid Human Resources experience, with a focus in staffing, is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and working independently.
  • Must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Prior experience working in a fast paced environment handling multiple assignments simultaneously is required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate courtesy, tact, and confidentiality when dealing with customers (internal and external).
